Who is MD-MADS?
Maryland Association for Medical Adult Day Services (MD-MADS) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(C)(6) organization that brings benefits to residents of Maryland by supporting and improving medical day care practices, standards and quality. MD-MADS offers support and encourages members to interact with legislators and advocate on behalf of the providers, the clients we serve, and the programs we operate.

To provide a unified and cohesive platform and organization to advocate for, and to improve medical day care services in the State of Maryland.
To unify the adult day services industry for the benefit of its providers and the people they serve.
To promote excellence in home and community based services.
Board of Directors
MD-MADS Board of Directors consists entirely of our active members. After their first year of membership, MD-MADS members are encouraged to join the board of directors and engage and contribute to various committees and topics that are of interest to them, and are important to our participants and providers.
Engagement in the Board is an excellent way to develop a more holistic understanding of the underlying factors that affect the industry, and can help our members become more knowledgeable about regulations, oversight, budget, and legal factors that impact our industry.

Membership
MD-MADS membership consists of active medical day care providers that operate within the State of Maryland, as well as individuals and vendors that provide supportive services to the industry. Membership in MD-MADS is available to any medical adult day care provider or business who provides support, services or products to adult day care centers. MD-MADS is an all volunteer organization and as such relies on participation from its members to succeed. To have the strongest voice when advocating for our industry we need the participation of all providers. We invite you to join to MD-MADS to work for a stronger medical adult day care community in Maryland.
Advocacy
MD-MADS advocates for and shares information about medical adult day services with members of the legislative and executive branches, as well as agencies or groups which seek to enhance the effectiveness of medical adult day services. The goal of advocacy by MD-MADS is to improve and encourage the highest standards of practice in medical adult day services.
Education
MD-MADS is an informational and educational resource to its members, and regularly consults with the medical day care and senior services industry, the public, the media, and the government.
MD-MADS provides educational seminars, conferences, and special events throughout the year for its members to help clarify complex operational requirements, regulations, and compliance matters.
MD-MADS subject matter experts possess decades of historic knowledge on medical day care programming in Maryland and provide valuable insights and recommendations to local and state regulatory agencies, which help guide them in making better and more informed decisions on current and future policies and regulations.
